Seahawk Holiday Classic gets under way Thursday
The 31st annual Omni Hotels Seahawk Holiday Classic kicks off Thursday with another strong field for the boys and girls events.
Four Lowcountry team will be in the tournaments with host Hilton Head in both the boys and girls events. Beaufort is in the girls tournament, and Whale Branch in the boys.
The rest of the boys bracket is made up of Miramar (Fla.), Marvin Ridge (N.C.), West Orange (Fla.), Robertsdale (Ala.), Academic Magnet and Silverdale Academy (Tenn.).
The girls bracket is New Hanover (N.C.), Wilson, Elizabethton (Tenn.), Bishop Verot (Fla.), Miramar (Fla.) and Silverdale Academy (Ala.).
The girls championship is set for 3 p.m. Saturday, and boys will be at 4:30 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $8 daily or $20 for a three-day pass.
