High school basketball result: Beaufort boys vs. Cane Bay

Cane Bay 54, Beaufort 53: Matt Garay scored 16 points before fouling out, as the Eagles could not finish off a comeback from a five-point halftime deficit.

Dajour Cleveland added 13 points for Beaufort (11-9, 5-4 region), which missed a chance to keep pace with Colleton County for second place in Region 8-4A. The Eagles are locked into third place regardless of Thursday’s outcome at Hilton Head Island.

Jordan White paced Cane Bay with 17 points and Jimmy Logan chipped in with 16.
