High school basketball result: Hilton Head Island boys at Whale Branch

Whale Branch 58, Hilton Head Island 49: Kenny Brown’s 16 points paced a trio of Warriors players in double figures, helping Whale Branch deal the Seahawks their first loss of the season.

Xyion Youmans added 12 points and Camrin Miller had 11 for the Warriors (4-2), who led 41-28 at halftime and withstood a third-quarter surge by Hilton Head to notch their third straight victory.

Lance Jackson scored 18 points to lead the Seahawks (4-1), who were playing their first road game of the regular season.
