High school basketball result: HHCA girls vs. First Baptist

First Baptist 53, Hilton Head Christian 36: A strong start by First Baptist led to the Eagles’ first loss of the season at the Baron Classic in Sumter.

The Hurricanes stormed out to a 26-5 advantage after one quarter and HHCA never managed to close the gap back within double digits.

Brielle McCarthy led the Eagles (7-1) with 11 points, while Macee Tamminen added 10 and Jossie Frazier tossed in nine.
