High school basketball result: John Paul II boys vs. Bethesda Academy

Bethesda Academy 65, John Paul II 39: Last year’s SCISA runners-up took advantage of some early JP2 foul trouble to hand the Golden Warriors their first loss of the season.

Bethesda powered out to a 29-13 halftime lead and never let the advantage get back under double digits. Rashad Battiste led the Golden Warriors (6-1) with 26 points and 12 rebounds.
