High school basketball result: John Paul II boys vs. Thomas Heyward

John Paul II 65, Thomas Heyward 50: Karl Johnson tallied 18 points and nine rebounds as the Golden Warriors advanced to the championship game of the War Hawk Invitational in Walterboro.

John Paul II will face Dorchester Academy in Friday night’s championship game.

Nyleem Wright added 14 points, eight rebounds and five steals for the Golden Warriors (3-0), while Thomas Kender has seven points and five rebounds.
