High school wrestling result: Battery Creek at Crescent Duals

Battery Creek wins Crescent Duals: Seven Dolphins went unbeaten as Battery Creek swept through four matches to win the tournament crown at Crescent High in Iva.

The Dolphins (18-3), the preseason No.1 in Class 3A, knocked off two teams just behind them in beating No.3 Crescent 45-27 in the semifinals and No.4 Emerald 45-21 in the title match.

Battery Creek also defeated Cardinal Newman in its opener and Union County (No.12 Class 4A) to reach the semis.

Reigning state champion Omar Daniels headed the list of Dolphins to go 4-0 on the meet, joined by Tyrus Singleton, Zacheus Magwood, Marcel Porackey, Ahman Smalls, Khalil Chisolm and Michael Selby.
