High school wrestling result: Hilton Head Island at Palmetto State Classic
Two Hilton Head Island wrestlers claimed championships Saturday at the Palmetto State Classic at Irmo High School in Columbia.
In the two-day event, Rawlin Szewcyzk prevailed in the 106-pound class and Billy Christie was the top competitor at 170.
Four other Hilton Head Island wrestlers finished in the top four of their division, including James Roberts (second, 138 lbs.), Alex Braden (third, 145 lbs.), Zaid Rueda (third, 220 lbs.) and Cristian Ordonez (fourth, 182 lbs.).
Hilton Head Island is set to host May River and Battery Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
