Seahawks’ golf coach to oversee Lower State all-stars at showcase

Hilton Head Island golf coach Rawn Grant has been selected as one of two Lower State coaches for next month’s North/South All-Star tournament.

The Seahawks placed sixth at this month’s Class 4A state tournament, moving up five spots on the final day behind a 77 from Emma Hayward. That followed a fourth place finish for the girls at last year’s Class 3A state final, while the Hilton Head boys placed third last spring.

The North/South showcase will take place Nov. 11-12 at Timberlake Country Club in Chapin. Grant will share Lower State coaching duties with Aynor’s Patrick Wilkinson.
