Thomas Heyward given top seed for SCISA state volleyball
Thomas Heyward, with just one loss in 21 games during its abbreviated season, was given one of four top seeds in the SCISA 2A brackets for this weekend’s state tournament in Myrtle Beach.
The Rebels (20-1) were drawn again Williamsburg Academy in their opening match Friday at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center, with the winner taking on defending 2A champion Spartanburg Day or Marlboro Academy later in the afternoon.
Hilton Head Christian also made the 2A brackets, opening against Trinity-Byrnes on Friday. Beaufort Academy got one of the final berths in the SCISA 1A tournament, drawing 13-1 Coastal Christian for its opening match.
