High school volleyball result: John Paul II vs. Patrick Henry

Patrick Henry 3, John Paul II 2: Abby Puplava tallied 62 digs and Abigail Barker added 44, but the Golden Warriors’ comeback attempt was thwarted when Patrick Henry captured the final set 15-8.

The Patriots appeared on the way to a sweep after winning the first two sets, but John Paul II roared back by taking the third set 25-20 and winning the fourth 25-19.

Barker led the Golden Warriors with eight kills, while Darby O’Donnell had 21 assists and four service aces.
