High school volleyball result: Thomas Heyward vs. Hilton Head Christian

Thomas Heyward 3, Hilton Head Christian 2: Madison Cooler hammered away with 33 kills and added nine service aces as the Rebels were taken to the limit before emerging with their 13th consecutive victory.

The Rebels (18-1) cruised in the first two sets, but lost momentum as the Eagles won the third set 27-25 to snap THA’s run of 18 straight sets won. HHCA made it two straight in a 25-11 breeze, forcing the decisive fifth set.

Cooler led the Rebels in nearly every category, adding 13 digs and three blocks up front. Jamie Davis had 21 assists, with Bailey Brown contributing another 12.

Sydney DeSimone tallied 19 kills and 27 digs to pace HHCA, while Brielle McCarthy amassed 44 assists on the evening.
