High school volleyball result: John Paul II vs. Legacy Christian

John Paul II 3, Legacy Christian 0: Katy Binkowski and Jasmine Hamilton put away six kills apiece and Darby O’Donnell tallied 11 service aces to lead the Golden Warriors.

O’Donnell also produced 20 assists for JP2, while Abby Puplava contributed 16 digs and eight aces. Eileen Lundblad and Mary Foster Gaillard added five aces apiece.

Also Thursday, JP2 seventh-grader Marissa Majorkiewicz was named SCISA’s Player of the Week for her performance as the Golden Warriors came away with a split in matches against Hilton Head Prep and Hilton Head Christian. Majorkiewicz had 13 digs, four aces and four kills against Legacy.
