High school golf result: Beaufort, Hilton Head Island, May River at Sanctuary

Seahawks prevail on Cat Island: Madeline Prince shot a 5-over-par 41 as Hilton Head Island produced three of the top five individual scores to take top honors at a three-team event that included May River and Beaufort.

The Seahawks finished with a team total of 193, six shots ahead of May River. The Sharks’ Kathryn Thorne took medalist honors with a 40 and Molly Minasi shot 44, but the Seahawks countered with 49s from Morgan Caramello and Megan Ferguson.
