High school tennis result: John Paul II vs. Colleton Prep

John Paul II 5, Colleton Prep 4: Barely 24 hours after notching their first tennis victory in school history, the Golden Warriors won their second as Samantha Reilly and Esther Lawrence provided the winning doubles point.

Reilly also was one of four singles winners for John Paul II (2-8), which launched its tennis program this fall. Margaret Bacevich, Jayne Trumps and Katherine Reilly also produced singles wins, as the Golden Warriors again showed strength in the lower two-thirds of the lineup.

Samantha Reilly dispatched Colleton Prep's Kaylee Spears in straight sets at No.6 singles, then teamed with Lawrence for an 8-1 victory over Spears and Gracie Bishop for the decisive point.
