High school volleyball result: John Paul II vs. Hilton Head Prep

John Paul II 3, Hilton Head Prep 2: Marissa Majorkiewicz amassed 10 kills and 52 digs as the Golden Warriors thwarted Prep’s furious comeback effort Monday, emerging with a 15-13 triumph in a decisive fifth set.

Abigail Barker and Jasmine Hamilton added 9 kills apiece, Darby O’Donnell had 38 assists and Abby Puplava came up with an incredible 80 digs in the marathon. After John Paul II took the first two sets, Prep countered by winning the next two by scores of 25-20 and 25-21.

Keira Wojcikiewicz had nine kills and 62 digs for the Dolphins, with Olivia Mitchell adding another nine kills and Alexandria Tegan contributing 24 assists.
