SCISAA 2-A cross country: Hilton Head Prep boys, girls' Tori Herman runners-up

Hilton Head Prep's boys cross country team finished second in the SCISAA Class 2-A cross country championships on Saturday at Heathwood Hall, while the Dolphins' Tori Herman finished second in the girls race.

Herman finished in 19:31 and is likely to be named SCISAA All-State when the teams are announced later Monday.

The Prep boys, who were edged by Spartanburg Day School (65-61), were led by Joshua Williams, who finished in fifth with a time of 17:20, and Jack Dextraze, who finished seventh in 17:38.

The Prep girls were sixth. Joining Herman in the top 10 was Alexis Voulgaropoulos, who was 10th with a time of 21:02.

Hilton Head Christian's boys were 10th. The girls team didn't have a score, but the Eagles' Nikaa Cummings was sixth with a time of 20:16.81.
