GIRLS TENNIS
Bluffton: The Bobcats are the Region 8-AAAA champions with an 8-0 region mark and Natalie Bassett is the Region 8-AAAA Player of the Year.
The Bobcats will open play in the SCHSL state playoffs Wednesday at home against Conway.
Rachel Riley and Cooper Baxter joined Bassett on the all-region team.
VOLLEYBALL
Beaufort Academy: The Eagles went 2-1 on Friday and are still alive in the SCISAA Class 1-A state tournament.
BA beat Cathedral Academy 2-1, lost to Patrick Henry Academy 2-1 and beat Jeff Davis Academy 2-0.
They will face Richard Winn at 8 a.m. Saturday.
