Thomas Heyward Academy clinches playoff spot with rout of Curtis Baptist

Anthony Sanders rushed for 179 yards and four touchdowns to lead Thomas Heyward Academy to a 67-6 rout of Curtis Baptist on Friday in Ridgeland.

The win clinched a spot in the SCISAA Class 2-A playoffs for the Rebels (6-4, 3-1).

Freshman Jacob Masters started at quarterback for Thomas Heyward. Regular starter Logan Thomas has an injured hand but is expected to return next week.

Collin Roach had two interceptions for the Rebels, including one he returned 30 yards for a touchdown.
