Thomas Heyward Academy tops Hilton Head Christian in shootout, 52-34

Thomas Heyward Academy rushed for 428 yards and four touchdowns and returned two interceptions for scores to beat Hilton Head Christian Academy 52-34 in a shootout.

Anthony Sanders scored for the Rebels on runs of 9 and 34 yards and returned a John Burke pass 75 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Ryan Cowart (30 yards) also had an interception return for a score for the Rebels (5-4, 3-1), and Spencer Hexamer had a 90-yard kickoff return for a score.

R.J. Bartolomucci had a big night for the Eagles (2-5, 0-4), catching three passes, all for touchdowns (5, 89, 71), for 165 yards and returning an interception 65 yards for a score.
