Despite little rushing yardage on the night, Dolphins's star Tyrone Dilbert also scored. Dilbert is nursing a nagging bruise on his foot.
"It was a close game, back and forth," Shuman said.
After North Charleston (5-2, 0-2) took a 19-16 lead, Chapman answered with long touchdown before DeMarquis Gadsen's 30-yard interception return for a touchdown helped ice the game.
Defensively, Eddie Dean led the way with 16 tackles for the Dolphins.
Battery Creek standout Sonja Jones hurt his thumb and had to leave the game.
