Prep roundup, Oct. 7: Hilton Head falls to 9th in football poll

Despite not playing in Week 6, Hilton Head Island (5-0) fell two spots to No. 9 in the S.C. Prep Media Poll.

Hilton Head Christian hosts unbeaten Thomas Heyward Academy at 6 p.m. Thursday.

SCHSL Championships: The state championships have been rescheduled from Saturday to Oct. 17 due to health and safety issues as a result of the flooding in Columbia. At the present time, the USC facility is closed and not operational. Times for the meets will remain the same (3-A 11:40 a.m.; 4-A 5:10 p.m.)
