Prep roundup, Sept. 28: Hilton Head Island boys, girls remain No. 1 in 3-A cross country

Hilton Head Island High School's boys and girls cross country teams remain No. 1 in their respective South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Class 3-A polls after strong showings in the Low Country Invitational over the weekend.

Hilton Head High and Eastside are 1-2 in both polls. The Seahawks boys are No. 1 in the overall boys poll, while the Seahawks girls are No. 2, up a spot from No. 3. Riverside is the overall girls No. 1.

Hilton Head High's boys won the Low Country Invitational hosted by James Island at Mulelt Hall on Johns Island. The girls finished second to Riverside.
