Prep roundup, Sept. 23: Bluffton wins 2 at volleyball tri-match

Bluffton's beat Savannah Country Day 2-0 and Hilton Head Christian 2-0 in a volleyball tri-match Tuesday evening.

Bluffton handed the Eagles a rare loss in the 25-15, 25-14 match. The Bobcats stopped SCD 25-18, 25-20.

In the third match, Savannah Country Day beat Hilton Head Christian 26-24, 25-16.

The losses were the first two of the season for Hilton Head Christian (11-2).

Bluffton next plays at 5:30 p.m. Friday at rival Hilton Head Island.

GIRLS TENNIS

Beaufort High 6, Hanahan 0: The Eagles improved to 4-6, 1-3 Region 8-AAA with the sweep.
