Ridge Christian wears out Beaufort Academy, 62-32

Beaufort Academy lost a hard-fought 62-32 decision on Friday night at Ridge Christian (3-1).

"We fought it out tonight," Eagles head coach Scott Richards said. "They must have played 20 guys tonight. We played just 10. They just wore on us."

Kevin Williams scored for the Eagles on a 99-yard interception return. He also added touchdown receptions of 38 and 31 yards.

Cain Richards scored on a 68-yard scoring strike from Alec Melville. Melville finished with 210 yards and the three touchdowns on 7-of-14 passing.

The Eagles (1-4) were able to pass the ball but struggled with the running game.

"Passing the ball just makes you play a longer game," Richards said. "And we're just not built for long football games."
