Hilton Head High adds 6 to athletics Hall of Fame
The six inductees for 2015 were:
Cathryn (Collins) Adair, Class of 2006
A swimmer, Adair was a three-time team MVP, four-time all-region and all-state, a seven-time individual state champion and a four-time relay state champion. A member of three state championship teams (2002-2005), she swam at the University of Akron.
Shawn Cunningham, Class of 2002
A three-sport athlete (track, cross country, basketball), Cunningham was a two-time state champion in the 800 meters (2001, 2002) and still holds the school record (1:54.89). He was the school's male athlete of the year for 2002 and went on to compete in track and field for the University of South Carolina.Jefferson Mullis, Class of 1999A three-sport athlete (football, wrestling, track and field), Mullis was the football team's offensive and defensive MVP for 1997 and 1998. He was the school's male athlete of the year for 1999 and went on to letter four years at South Carolina as a linebacker.
Kathryn (Roe) Munsterman, Class of 1994
A three-time all-state performer in cross country (1990-1992) and a four-time all-state performer in track (1991-1994), Munsterman was the state mile champion in 1993 and a member of back-to-back state champion track and field teams (1991-1992). A four-time team MVP in both sports, she went on to compete in track and equestrian at the University of South Carolina.
Vesey Wilborn, Class of 1986
A two-sport athlete, Wilborn was the state runner-up in the shot put and the discus in 1986 and a team captain and all-state player in football in 1985. He was the school's male athlete of the year in 1986.
Scott Vick, Class of 1992
One of National Prep Magazine's top 100 players and named a top-25 player in the Carolinas by the Charlotte Observer in 1990, Vick was all-state and a high-school All-American in 1991 and played in the Shrine Bowl. He went on to wrestle professionally in the WCW and WWE from 1996 through 2005.
