The 10th week of the high school football regular season is in the books.

The votes are in, and May River running back Sean Mitchell won the vote for The Island Packet’s High School Football Player of the Week. Thanks for all who voted. There will be a new poll on Tuesday.

Coaches can send nominees to Lou Bezjak at lbezjak@thestate.com. The nominees are listed below. Congrats to all the nominees.

Player of the Week Nominees

Kres Langhals, QB/S, Hilton Head Christian: Junior was 20-of-26 passing for 308 yards, and carried it 21 times for 112 yards and four total touchdowns in a win over John Paul II. He also had two tackles on defense.

Aedan McCarthy, QB, Bluffton: Senior was 21-of-32 passing for 231 yards, two touchdowns and also rushed for 47 yards and a score in the comeback win over Bishop England.

Sean Mitchell, RB/DB, May River: Senior carried it 26 times for 121 yards and a TD and had three tackles on defense in the 10-6 win over Beaufort.

Khalil Polite, DB, Hardeeville: Freshman had five tackles, four pass break-ups, an interception and returned fumble for touchdown in a win over Branchville.

Jayden Simmons, DT, Beaufort: Senior had 12 tackles (1 for loss) against May River.
