The ninth week of the high school football regular season is in the books.

The votes are in, and Hilton Head Prep’s Davis Cargill won the vote for The Island Packet’s High School Football Player of the Week. Thanks for all who voted. There will be a new poll on Tuesday.

Player of the Week Nominees

Davis Cargill, RB, Hilton Head Prep: Senior had two touchdowns in a 17-14 win over St. John’s Christian.

Thaddeus Czarnecki, RB/LB, Hilton Head Island: Junior had 15 carries for 134 yards and a TD on offense. Defensively, he had 10 tackles and returned a fumble for a touchdown in the win over May River.

Malcolm Gordon, LB, Bluffton: Senior had 11 tackles (three for loss) and a sack in a win over Colleton County.

Jadon Inabinett, RB, John Paul II: Freshman carried it seven times for 140 yards, two touchdowns and caught two passes for 13 yards in the win over Thomas Heyward.

Will Jimenez, LB, Hilton Head Island: Senior had 20 tackles (14 solo) and recovered two fumbles in a win over May River.

Aedan McCarthy, QB, Bluffton: Senior was 28-of-36 passing for 404 yards, six touchdowns and had a rushing TD in the win over Colleton County.

Sean Phalen, TE/DE, John Paul II: The junior had seven tackles (five for loss), a sack and two pass deflections in a win over Thomas Heyward.

Alan Wolf, QB, John Paul II: The junior carried it three times for 102 yards, two touchdowns and was 3-of-4 passes for 46 yards and a TD in the win over Thomas Heyward.
