The third week of the high school football regular season is in the books.

The votes are in, and Whale Branch’s I’veon Watson won the vote for The Island Packet’s High School Football Player of the Week.

Player of the Week Nominees

Andrew Boyden, FB, John Paul II: Senior carried it 18 times for 90 yards and a TD in the win over Battery Creek.

Jermon Bowers, QB/DB, Whale Branch: Senior was 4-of-8 passing for 48 yards and carried it 16 times for 144 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, he had two tackles and an interception in the win over Hardeeville.

Jadon Inabinett, RB, John Paul II: Freshman carried it eight times for 108 yards, including 74-yard touchdown, in the win over Battery Creek.

Aedan McCarthy, QB, Bluffton: Senior was 24-of-30 passing for 313 yards, three touchdowns and carried it 12 times for 106 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Andrew Jackson.

Nych Underwood, RB, Beaufort Academy: Senior carried it 20 times for 181 yards and five touchdowns in a win over St. John’s Christian.

I’veon Watson, DL, Whale Branch: Senior had 11 tackles and five sacks in the win over Hardeeville.
