Vote for Island Packet’s high school football Player of Week: Aug. 26 poll
The first week of the high school football regular season is in the books.
It’s time to vote for The Island Packet’s high school football Player of the Week from area high schools and games played Aug. 21-22 and 25. Voting ends Friday at noon. The winner will be announced on Island Packet’s website on Friday afternoon.
The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.

Player of the Week Nominees
Camari Brown, RB/CB, Hardeeville: The senior carried it eight times for 70 yards, caught a 25-yard pass and had four touchdowns in a win over Bethune Bowman. Thaddeus Czarnecki, RB/LB, Hilton Head Island: Junior carried it 12 times for 104 yards and a TD, and caught two passes for 31 yards. On defense, he had 10 tackles (3 for loss) and a sack in a win over Stall.
Andrew Johnson, ATH, May River: Senior carried it 15 times for 139 yards, two touchdowns and also caught a TD pass in a win over Airport.
Aedan McCarthy, QB, Bluffton: Senior was 15-of-19 passing for 262 yards, a TD and carried it five times for 83 yards and a TD in a win over Whale Branch.
Jackson Richardson, WR/CB, Hilton Head Christian: Junior had 11 tackles, two interceptions and also caught a 13-yard pass in a win over Battery Creek.
Kyrell Jamison, QB/CB, Hardeeville: Junior had 273 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in a win over Bethune Bowman.
Nych Underwood, RB/LB, Beaufort Academy: Senior carried it 26 times for 366 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he had 10 tackles and picked off a pass in a win over Carolina Academy.
