Trio of Lowcountry soccer teams win SCISA state championships

It was a good weekend for Lowcountry soccer teams.

Three teams, Hilton Head Prep girls and Beaufort Academy boys and girls, all won SC Independent Schools Association championships held at Hammond School in Columbia.

The area nearly went 4-for-4 but Christian Academy defeated Hilton Head Prep boys, 3-2 (OT) in the Class 2A championship.

The Hilton Head Prep girls won their third straight SCISA 3A state championship with a 5-0 win over Christian Academy. Furman signee Callah Danado had two goals and an assist in the win for the Dolphins.
