Hardeeville kicker voted Island Packet’s high school football Player of the Week

The votes are in, and Hardeeville kicker Efrain Tinoco wins the vote for The Island Packet’s High School Football Player of the Week.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.

This Week’s Nominees

Thaddeus Czarnecki, RB/LB Hilton Head Island: Sophomore carried it nine times for 200 yards, three touchdowns and had three solo tackles in a win over Colleton County.

Gage Duncan, RB/CB, May River: Senior had eight carries for 173 yards, two touchdowns, had three tackles and an interception in a win over Beaufort.

Tony O’Banner, RB/LB, Thomas Heyward: The junior carried it seven times for 129 yards three touchdowns, caught a 20-yard TD pass and also had four tackles in a win over Carolina Academy.

Dietrich Shuford, QB, Beaufort Academy: Senior was 7-of-8 passing for 137 yards, two touchdowns and rushed it three times for 104 yards in a win over Andrew Jackson Academy.

Troy Timko, RB, Hilton Head Island: Senior carried it eight times for 200 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Colleton County.

Efrain Tinoco, K, Hardeeville: Junior hit a 45-yard field goal with 19 seconds left to give Hardeeville a 23-22 win over Branchville.
