Hilton Head Island sophomore voted Island Packet’s high school football player of week
The votes are in, and Hilton Head Island running back/linebacker Thaddeus Czarnecki wins the vote for The Island Packet’s High School Football Player of the Week.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun. Congrats to all the nominees.
This Week’s Nominees
Will Bostwick, S, May River: Senior had 11 tackles (nine solo), a tackle for loss and blocked an extra point in loss to Hilton Head Island.
Dayaun Brown, WR/DB, Whale Branch: Senior had TD run and several other big plays in a win over Lake Marion.
Thaddeus Czarnecki, RB/LB, Hilton Head Island: Sophomore carried it nine times for 74 yards and had 11 tackles in a win over May River.
Aedan McCarthy, QB, Bluffton: Junior was 15-of-20 passing for 282 yards, three touchdowns and carried it nine times for 56 yards in a win over Colleton County.
Tony O’Banner, RB/LB, Thomas Heyward: Junior carried it 14 times for 230 yards, a TD and also had six tackles (three for loss) in a win over John Paul II.
