May River girls, Hilton Head boys pick up lacrosse victories

Katie Benenati’s goal in overtime gave May River a 6-5 an overtime win over the Seahawks on Wednesday in girls lacrosse.

Corynn Psychohios and Benenati each scored twice to lead May River.

Victoria Glover and Sharon Urbina had two goals apiece for HHI.

Boys Lacrosse

Bluffton 14, Beaufort 4

Ben Ramsey had five goals and two assists and Jackson Harwell scored three goals and had two assists for Bluffton.

Evan Blatter added three goals and Jackson Reese had six saves for the Bobcats.

The Seahawks won a high-scoring affair over the Sharks

Softball

Hilton Head Island 22, Stall 5

Reagan Marchant hit a grand slam and drove in five runs in the Seahawks’ victory.

Edy McGoldrick, Avery Wagner, Jayden Lopko, and Delcie Swift all had two RBI. Swift struck out four to pick up the win.

Thomas Heyward 18, Beaufort 1

Abby Bennett was 2-for-4 with four RBI as the Rebels defeated Beaufort in four innings.

Isabel Cannon had three hits while Olivia Pace and Amelia Bonds each had two RBI for the Rebels.

Cannon picked up the win on the mound.

May River 22-15, Lake Marion 0-0

Giovanna Rodriguez homered and drove in four runs in May River’s win in three innings in the opener.

Avery Grieve, Emma Carmany and Madi Black all had two RBI for the Sharks.

In game two, Peyton Rockwell and Casey Lang each had three RBI. Gabby Ximenez had two RBI.

Baseball

Beaufort 11, Battery Creek 0

Wes Graves and Michael Holdridge combined on a one-hitter with six strikeouts for Beaufort.

Paul Winland was 2-for-2 with 3 RBI and Rhogue Wallace also drove in two runs for the Eagles.

Bluffton 10, John Paul II 1

Rakim White homered and drove in two runs while Nate Hoyt was 2-for-3 with three RBI for Bluffton.

Eric Eastham allowed one run, one hit while striking out four in 4 ⅓ innings to pick up the win.
