Whale Branch, May River sweep foes. Hilton Head Prep boys stay unbeaten in region play

Wofford signee Nick Pringle scored a game-high 27 points as Whale Branch defeated Beaufort, 86-63, on Friday.

Shawn Chisholm added 18 points for the Warriors.

Oliver Holmes led Beaufort with 21 points.

Thomas Heyward 65, Hilton Head Christian 37

Zack Black scored 22 points, including, five 3-pointers to help the Rebels past the Eagles.

As a team, THA hit 10 3-pointers in the game. Louie Smith added 15 for the Rebels.

Floyd Hargrove led the Eagles with 26 points.

Hilton Head Prep 64, Colleton Prep 28

The Dolphins ran their region record to 3-0 with the blowout victory.

Tyrone Calloway scored a game-high 26 points for Prep.

May River 66, Lake Marion 52

Harry Cash scored 16 points and James Layman had 13 as the Sharks opened region play with a win.

Bethesda Academy 47, John Paul II 37

Bethesda outscored the Warriors, 18-9, in the second half for the win Friday.

Austin McIntosh led JPII with 10 points and four rebounds. Malone Kinard Huisinger added nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Eagles used a 27-point first quarter to defeat the Rebels on Friday.

Dior Shelton led HHCA with 23 points.

May River 56, Lake Marion 38

Chynna Sneed scored 18 points as May River opened region play with a victory.
