High School Basketball roundup: Bluffton girls rally to win B-Town Classic
The Bluffton girls basketball team used a dominating fourth quarter to claim the B-Town Classic championship on Saturday.
The Bobcats outscored Carver (Ala.) 12-2 in the fourth quarter and overcame a 12-point deficit for the 51-48 victory.
Bluffton improves to 11-1 on the season after winning the tournament.
Tatyana Aiken led the Bobcats with 24 points and Tacoya Heyward had 16. Heyward was named the tournament’s MVP and Aiken was named to the all-tournament team.
The two had the decisive baskets in the win. Aiken tied it at 47 on a jumper while Heyward hit the go-ahead shot with one minute left.
Randrea Wright led Carver with 20 points.
Hilton Head Island 57, Oceanside Collegiate 31
Hilton Head (7-6) moved back above .500 with a win over visiting Oceanside Collegiate Academy on Saturday.

HHI had a balanced scoring attack with five players scoring eight or more points. Chyna Fields led the way with 14 points, Kenzie Ryan had 12 points and Janiya Ferebee, Miley Ray and Emma Moore each had eight.
The Seahawks, who led 24-21 at halftime, outscored OC 20-14 in the fourth quarter. HHI plays John Paul II on Tuesday.
Beaufort Academy 67, Andrew Jackson 33
The Eagles moved to 8-0 on the season with a win over AJ.
Mike’Ala Washington poured in a season-high 26 points to lead Beaufort Academy. Tahleea Heyward added 17 points, Amelia Huebel had 11 and Mary Hanna Hiers scored eight.
The Eagles host host Hilton Head Christian on Tuesday.

The Seahawks overcame a three-point halftime deficit to split the season series with Oceanside.

James Mingo had a game-high 19 points in AJ’s win over Beaufort Academy.
Mikey Templeton and Jonathan Schaffer each added 15 for AJ.
