Beaufort 3, Lugoff-Elgin 2 (OT): Facing elimination midway through the overtime, the Eagles came up with two late goals to survive a heart-stopping affair in their Class 4A playoff opener.

The Eagles stood on the verge of advancing in regulation time before Patrick Sigman’s corner kick deflected off a Beaufort defender into the net that tied it for Lugoff-Elgin. The Demons then went ahead early in the extra period when Izzy Hernandez jumped on a weak clearance by the Eagles.
