Myrtle Beach 7, Beaufort 0: The Eagles ran into a buzzsaw in their Class 4A playoff opener, though Griffin Stone and Merritt Patterson each went three sets before succumbing.

Stone bounced back from an 0-6 opening set to take Myrtle Beach’s Josh Wallen to a deciding tiebreaker, losing 10-6. Patterson lost to W.J. Vaught by a score of 1-6, 6-2, 10-5.
