High school softball playoffs: Whale Branch vs. Silver Bluff

Silver Bluff 8, Whale Branch 2: Nya Simmons had a run-scoring single Cydney Boggs an RBI double in a two-run fourth inning, but Silver Bluff broke things open with a bases-loaded triple in the sixth.

The Warriors trailed just 4-2 when Silver Bluff used an error, single and walk to load the bases in the sixth, setting the table for Iyceiss Drayton’s triple. Whale Branch hosts a Class 2A elimination game Saturday against Calhoun County.
