High school baseball result: Whale Branch vs. Woodland

Woodland 8, Whale Branch 6: Woodland’s four-run fourth inning proved too much for the Warriors to overcome as they battled back from a five-run deficit.

Whale Branch scored twice in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk and a fielder’s choice, but left two runners stranded when Marquell Moultrie struck out to end the inning. The Warriors also left two runners on in the sixth.

Irvin Mulligan had three of the Warriors’ eight hits, while Ryan Murray-Green added two.
