Bluffton boys, Hilton Head Island girls ranked in latest S.C. soccer polls

Bluffton stands No.3 in the latest Class 3A boys’ soccer poll of state coaches, while Hilton Head Island is fifth among Class 4A girls’ teams.

The Bobcats opened their season with five straight victories before a 2-1 defeat to Wade Hampton on Tuesday.

Hilton Head Island’s girls also are 5-1 on the young season, as they seek a seventh consecutive trip to the state final. The Seahawks carry a three-game winning streak into this weekend’s Crescent Cup matches in Columbia.
