Hilton Head Island golfers rise to No.2 in S.C. coaches poll

Hilton Head Island now stands No.2 among Class 4A golf teams in the first regular-season poll of state coaches, rising two slots from its preseason ranking.

The Seahawks took seventh at the High School Invitational earlier this month and repeated as champions of the Panther Invitational in Conway. They’ve also finished on top in every smaller competition thus far.

Beaufort also moved into the Class 4A rankings at No.10, while Bluffton moved up to fourth in the Class 3A poll.
