High school tennis result: May River boys at Beaufort

Beaufort 6, May River 0: Mitchell Russell battled back from a first-set loss to win his No.1 singles match in three sets, completing the Eagles’ sweep.

Russell dropped his opening set against May River’s Caldwell Tarleton before rallying for a 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 triuimph.

Beaufort’s Griffin Stone, Jaco Neimond, Merritt Patterson and Chris Hoogenboom won their singles matches in straight sets, as did the doubles team of Paul Winland and Ben Straut.
