High school softball result: Thomas Heyward at Battery Creek

Thomas Heyward 8, Battery Creek 3: Hannah Cannon and Ivy Bryan each drove home three runs as the Rebels overcame some early miscues to take the victory.

Cannon’s performance included her first home run of the season, while Baylee Belger produced three singles from her leadoff spot. Cheyenne Strong scattered five hits in a complete game, striking out six and walking seven.

Jessica Shipley had two of Battery Creek’s hits, including a triple, and Journeigh Doray drove home two runs.
