Pro-Am day for RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing marks the official start of spectator festivities and this year’s 57th edition was no exception.
From southern chic dresses, posh athleisure and of course, plaid, spectators and professionals alike sprinkle the Harbour Town Golf Links Course with color and life that seems to resemble a bag of Skittles.
While the real plaid-filled fun and activities aren’t set until Saturday for Plaid Nation Day, spectators are always prepared to show off their tartan plaid and RBC Heritage spirit.
Tartan plaid, known for its blend of red, blue, yellow, white and black stripes, is the signature pattern of the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing. The plaid pattern serves as a recognition of traditional golf attire in Scotland, where the beloved sport originated back in the sixteenth century.
While Wednesday’s crowd drew in colors and patterns of all different kinds, these were a few of the stand-out spectator looks.
Bucket Hats
Both practical and fashionable, bucket hats have made a comeback in recent years and for RBC Heritage, offer needed sun protection and a unique way to sport your golf tournament pride.

Blazers
Another trend among this year’s spectators is blazers, offering a layer of warmth on brisk mornings and a touch of sophistication to the crowd.

Full Plaid Sets
Some like to go big and bold with full outfit sets of tartan plaid. From dresses to suits, the possibilities seem almost endless.

Springtime Athleisure
Another practical and seasonal option for many is an athleisure-inspired look complete with golf skorts, shorts and comfortable tops.

Not #PlaidNation
If plaid’s not your style, you can still sport some fashionable and colorful outfits to celebrate the tournament. In some cases, you can even swap the entire color wheel.
