Hilton Head's Orischak named AJGA Rolex Junior All-American
Hilton Head Island's Andrew Orischak, runner-up when the U.S. Junior Amateur came to Colleton River this summer, was named to the Rolex Junior All-America second team by the American Junior Golf Association.
Orischak came tantalizingly close to winning the U.S. Junior crown, holding a 5-up lead with eight to play against Philip Barbaree before the Louisiana golfer stormed back to win on the 37th hole. Barbaree was named the boys' Rolex Junior Player of the Year.
The high-school junior notched three other top-16 finishes on the AJGA circuit this year, and qualified for the U.S. Amateur. He's currently No.19 in the Polo Golf junior rankings.
