Hilton Head Island shot 339 as a team and finished second at the Class 3-A Girls Golf Lower State Qualifier on Monday at the Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina University in Conway.
The Seahawks advanced to the 3-A state championship Oct. 26 and 27 at Barony Golf Club on Hilton Head Island. St. James won, shooting 311.
The Seahawks' Meredith Wipper was medalist runner-up, firing a 74.
The other Seahawks were Madeline Prince (84), Megan Weldy (88), Emma Hayward (93) and Grace Harkins (96).

Beaufort finished tied for eighth. The Eagles scorers were Ashley Taylor (100), Izzy Stone (120) and Kyleigh Tokar (133).
Bluffton finished fifth Monday among 15 teams at the Class 4-A Lower State Qualifier at the Wescott Plantation in Summerville to advance to the Class 4-A state championship Monday and Tuesday at Lexington Country Club.
Kathryn Thorne was the top Bobcat with a 75. Other Bluffton golfers were Sophia Burnett (77), Brooke Larson (91), Kaylia McIntyre (97) and Molly Minasi (99).
