As it turns out, Andrew Orischak might have a prom date after all.

The Hilton Head Island High School junior, who lost the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship on the 37th hole to Philip Barbaree on Saturday got some laughs on Friday by asking Fox Sports 1 host Holly Sonders to accompany him to next year's prom.

Sonders agreed with a caveat -- only if he won tournament.

Orischak the invitation as a source of motivation.

"If I'm feeling a little tired, I just think Holly at prom," Orischak said Friday.

But it wasn't enough on Saturday, when Orischak saw a 5-hole lead slip away.

Soon after the conclusion of Saturday's play, however, Sonders posted a message to Orischak on her Twitter account, @holly_saunders: "And @AndrewOrischak....I'm happy to go to the 2015 prom with you if I'm still invited. Your mom has my phone number."

Orischak later responded, “ the first time I've smiled in the last couple hours...”
