Rare is it that there has been so much anticipation for the final day of the Masters.

This is not just new faces fighting for the chance to add their name to the history of this tournament, to cement their legacy, to slip into their green jacket. It is that, in an era of golf where everything has been split into the PGA Tour and LIV factions, we have two men, two names, two personalities, vying for their title.

We have Rory McIlroy (12-under) and Bryson DeChambeau (10-under) in one of the most star-studded final pairings in a long time. Here is what you need to know.

Masters start time, broadcast coverage

Sunday’s final round airs from noon to 2 p.m. on Paramount Plus and then 2 to 7 p.m. on CBS. Additional coverage is streamed at Masters.com starting Sunday morning.

1. Rory McIlroy vs. Bryson Dechambeau

We got the rematch. We got exactly what we wanted.

Less than a year after DeChambeau outdueled McIlory at Pinehurst to claim his second major championship, they meet again in Augusta. They meet with so much at stake.

For McIlroy, it is the chance to claim the grand slam that has eluded him his entire career. At the place of his greatest heartbreak, when he melted during the 2011 Masters, coming into Sunday with a four-stroke lead before shooting 80 and losing the championship. It is impossible to see McIlroy at Augusta National and think about him shooting a triple bogey on the 10th hole almost 15 years ago.

And then there’s DeChambeau, who has miraculously turned himself from a heel into one of the most popular golfers in the world. A win at Augusta would solidify his place in this generation of golf, giving him his third major at 31 years old.

As of Sunday morning, DraftKings Sportsbook placed McIlroy, who shot a 66 Saturday, as the favorite with 1-2 odds. Meanwhile, DeChambeau, who carded a 69 with three birdies in his final four holes, goes into Sunday with 2.5-1 odds to come out on top.

2. Masters purse breakdown

In addition to slipping on the green jacket Sunday, the winner of the 2025 tournament will collect the biggest payout in Masters history.

After Scottie Scheffler collected $3.6 million for winning at Augusta National last April, the champion this year will collect $4.2 million. For comparison: Just four years ago, 2021 champion Hideki Matsuyama earned just over $2 million in prize money.

The overall purse, too, saw a sharp increase of $1 million — with the 2025 field splitting a record $21 million, including $25,000 each for the 42 players who missed the cut. But here is how the rest of the payouts will break down.

3. Who will win the amateur title?

For the first time since 2022, no amateur made the cut at the Masters. That means that no one claims the the title of low amateur this year.

None of the five amateurs in this year’s field managed to record a round under par on Thursday or Friday, though Justin Hastings — the winner of the Latin America Amateur Championship — shot an even-par 72 on Thursday.

It was Hastings who recorded the best finish of all the amateurs, finishing 4-over and missing the cut by two strokes.
