The USC Beaufort women's golf team moved up one spot in Tuesday's final round to finish sixth at the Thomas University Fall Invitational.
The Sand Sharks posted a team score of 316 at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club on Tuesday to finish the 36-hole event at 628. Dalton State and SCAD Savannah tied for the team title at 613, followed by Cumberland (Ky.) at 621 and Coastal Georgia at 624.
USCB sophomore Franzi Knoetsch carded a 1-over-par 73 in the final round - the lowest round of the day - to finish at 9-over 153 and tie for fifth, earning a spot on the all-tournament team.
Freshman Vanessa Schloo (77-79-156) tied for 13th, while sophomore Emily Turner (78-79-157) finished 15th. Sophomore Moa Kristenson (78-85-163) finished 28th, followed by senior Lina Sekerkova (79-85-164) in a tie for 29th. Freshman Megan Martin (84-81-165) tied for 33rd playing as an individual.
Coastal Georgia's Diane Lim (71-75-146) finished at 2-over for the tournament to claim a three-shot victory over Dalton State's Katie Dalton.
The Sand Sharks wrap up the fall season at the NAIA Fall Preview on Oct. 26-27 at Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga.
